Lamentations Women’s Study
August 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until August 27, 2019
Are you presently in a season of suffering in your life? Are you in the midst of enduring grief or heartache? Do you struggle to reconcile the holiness and goodness of God with the destruction and evil you see in the world around you? Or maybe you are walking alongside someone who is struggling either as a result of their own sin or sins committed against them. The reality is that suffering is an ever-present part of the Christian life.
This summer we will turn to the book of Lamentations and seek to learn from the weeping prophet who was inspired to write five chapters of laments expressing deep grief over the destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the Temple. We will explore how these ancient laments teach us the language of prayer and how to grieve while resting in the faithfulness of God. Join us for a four-week live teaching study in the book of Lamentations. Our aim will be to learn how to lament in a season of suffering to move toward a place of hope and trust in God.
