Romania Update #1: Carolyn DiMarco

Dear Family and Friends,

Happy Canada Day!!! As I sit and write this we are on our last flight from Germany to Bucharest. God is good and is has been smooth sailing (or flying) the whole way. Personally I have felt so blessed and encouraged this week. Thank you to all of you who have sent me off with love and prayer. I have felt so covered in prayer.

This week we are here as a team of 13 of us Canadians serving in the Roma Gypsy community. We will be spending our mornings in a couple villages sharing our faith and doing some service projects. In the afternoon we will be coming alongside of our Romania family and doing a kids camp at a Roma Gypsy apartment complex. Please be in prayer with us as we play with the kids and teach them the love of Jesus. The Romanians visited them this week to advertise the camp and they are already so encouraged as one of the teens approached Ligia and said that they were excited to have us come and bring joy to the community.

With the team here this week there will be video blogs posted on the Harvest Oakville

website. Be sure to check them out and keep us in your prayers.

As my first email out and as we part ways for the year and are called to serve in different places to the world I echo the heart of Paul to the Philippians, “I thank God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you making my prayer with joy because of your partnership in the gospel… I hold you in my heart,” Philippians 1: 4-5,7

Sending my love and praying for you all!!!
