SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

Videographer (1 position)

This opportunity is made possible through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Anticipated start date: June 3, 2019
Duration: 7 weeks; 31.5 hrs/week
Supervision: The Videography Intern will report directly to the Lead Videographer as well as interacts with the Video Assistant.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Shoot and edit (photography and video) various projects, such as the weekly sermon segment to share on social media and live events (Harvest Kids Camp and Jr. High Day Camp).
The intern will be working with Sony and Canon gear and editing in Final Cut Pro X (will also get an introduction to Adobe After Effects)
Assist in video shoots of life stories, including setup/teardown of sets, recording, and observation of the interview process

Live Production:
Run studio cameras, ProPresenter, and Live Switcher for weekend services and special events.
The intern will also learn from the mentor about team management, both organizationally and practically
File Management on our servers and CloudBuilding footage library for ongoing promotion (for example, recording footage of our Connection area where we meet newcomers weekly). This will include weekly ministries such as Youth, Women’s, 20’s & 30’s Ministry, and ESL
Participate in meetings that plan and debrief events

Social Media Community Manager (1 position)

Anticipated start date: June 3, 2019
Duration: 7 weeks; 31.5 hrs/week
Supervision: Youth Intern will be supervised by the Youth Pastor and Youth Coordinator

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Setup and teardown for Summer Youth weekly program (Gr. 6-12)
Create Social Media Slides for the year-round Youth program on Canva (web program)
Create Email Newsletters for the year
Potential to provide teaching to students
Teaching and communication training
Planning and organizing for week-long JR High Day Camp
Administrative duties
Assist with Facilities maintenance
Participate in organizing and running all Youth events during their internship
Required reading in leadership and discipleship

Camp Co-ordinator (2 positions)

Anticipated start date: May 6, 2019
Duration: 7 weeks; 31.5 hrs/week
Supervision: The Children’s Ministry Interns will report directly to and be supervised by the Pastor of Children's Ministries.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Aid in the recruiting, processing screening, equipping, supporting and training of current and prospective children's ministry workers which may include assisting in volunteer interviews, reference checks, training and administration
Assist in coordinating weekly volunteer schedules for weekend children's programs
Serve weekly in the Children’s Ministry during weekend programs including Bible teaching, Storytelling, Puppeteering, Service management and oversight of volunteers
Prepare the Children’s Ministry programs for weekend services by setting up classroom materials and supplies
Maintain the organization of the Children’s Ministry resources including the resource room, classrooms and ministry inventory closets
Assist in coordination and preparation of week-long children's day camp (800 children grades JK to Grade 5 and 300+ volunteers).
Assist in the processing of day camp volunteers by assisting in interviews, paperwork, reference checks, administration and training.
Assist in the setup and cleanup of day camp.
Assist in the day camp Biblical teaching and leading of children’s programs.
Assist in the preparation of summer curriculum by planning Biblical lessons, activities and games.
