Hope Institute

To Help Mature the Faith of Followers of Jesus

We live in interesting and challenging times. Followers of Jesus Christ are being confronted with increasing levels of opposition towards their faith. We are challenged with the false gospels of individualism, prosperity, and the self help therapeutic moralism. Increasingly we see the effects of consumerism, pragmatism, and biblical illiteracy inside and outside of the church. It is important that followers of Jesus Christ have a clear understanding of what they believe and why they believe what they believe. We all need a deeper understanding of the gospel and God’s Word along with a complete surrender to the lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives.

Hope Institute mission statement

(Please note that our Creation Seminar will be postponed until Fall 2020.)

Seminars are one-off learning opportunities where Hope Institute brings in someone with a level of "expertise" in a certain topic to help develop followers of Jesus Christ with greater understanding, affection, and ability in a particular area of the Christian life. Presently we are focused on providing seminars that help in the development of discipleship in the family - marriage and parenting, and the intersection of Christ and culture - navigating social and cultural issues of our day.

Classes are active life transformation learning groups. We offer classes in Bible, Doctrine, Spiritual Formation, and Ministry Formation. Participants are expected to commit to active learning that necessitates preparing for the class, interacting with others in the class, and listening to instruction. Classes, other than Ministry Formation classes, are open to everyone at Hope Bible Church.

Internships and Residencies

Internships are short-term leadership development experiences (3-6 months) directed towards men and women at Hope Bible Church that are exploring the possibility that God has called them into vocational ministry. The Hope Institute will create a common internship experience that can be applied across areas of ministry in the church. Internships will focus on the development of character, convictions, and capabilities along with ongoing determination of calling to vocational ministry. Interns will be mentored by staff members during the course of the internship.
