HOPE Youth

The mission of HOPE Youth is to help students grow in a relationship with Jesus. We desire to see students encouraged, convicted, and challenged in their walk with the Lord, all while growing in a community of Christ-followers. We do this through teaching from God’s Word, worship, and small group time with other students and leaders.

Every Wednesday evening we gather together with our junior and senior high students to worship the Lord.  Our junior highs (grades 6-8) meet from 6:30-8:30pm while our senior high students (grades 9-12) meet from 7:30-9:30pm.  During this time students have a main worship session that includes singing and teaching from God’s word. Afterwards, students go to their small groups which are grade and gender specific and lead by one of our Youth Leaders who are with them, Lord willing, for the entire year.  This time is meant for students to take what was learned in the teaching and apply it to their lives as well as an opportunity for accountability and connection.  After small group students have the chance to hangout in our lobby while playing games and spending time with friends until pickup at 9:45pm.

A great way to stay up to date is through social media. You can find us on Instagram and Facebook. On this page you will find links to new music, our Start 180+ Bible reading plan, and other resources. You can also sign up to receive our weekly newsletter by filling out the form on this page.

If you have any questions or would like your student connected with a small group, please reach out to us at Youth@HopeOakville.ca.

God Time Resources

This Bible reading plan is a basic overview of the Bible, broken into smaller chunks of verses for those new to Bible reading plans. Don’t be afraid to jump in, don’t beat yourself up if you miss a day, and just pick up where you left off. May God use His word in your life in awesome ways as He has in so many others by the Holy Spirit.

Praying Parents

Psalm 116 says “I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy.  Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.”  We are a church that believes in the power of prayer.  As a youth ministry we also believe that apart from the powerful moving of the Holy Spirit our efforts are in vain.  So we want to pray and we want to come alongside parents to pray for their children.  Each Wednesday that we have our regular Youth ministry we invite parents to come and pray while their children are at youth.  Our time of prayer is from 7:30-8:30pm but you are welcome to come later and stay later right up until our night ends at 9:45.  Each week there will be a prayer agenda for you to pray through that will include specific prayers for the large group teaching time, the small group time and for your children individually and specifically.  There will also be a section for specific prayer requests.  If you have any prayer requests you’d like us to be praying for as it relates to your children and family or if you have any questions regarding this ministry please email us at PrayingParents@HopeOakville.ca

Please fill out this short form to let us know you want to pray with us.
