Men's Group Life exists to bring men of all walks and ages together weekly, for collective devotional time and prayer, followed by small group time. In these leader-facilitated small groups, men will engage in intentional study the Word of God, Bible based prayer together, and engage in fellowship for accountability and sanctification. Please note that you must register to join a men's group.

Practical Theology 1, an eight-week class, will run from January 19 to , March 23 2026.  The Practical Theology classes are based on a curriculum prayerfully and collaboratively developed in-house by our Hope Soul Care team over the past several years. In this class you will experience live teaching and participate in breakout groups, that will help us explore how God's word can be powerfully applied in our daily experience of suffering, in our daily battle against sin, and in our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 1 focuses specifically on suffering, sin and repentance and our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 2 builds on the foundation laid in Practical Theology 1 and looks at what it looks like to walk in the Lord in faith as we pursue humility, contentment, peace, love, joy, gratitude and hope. The required prerequisites for Practical Theology 1 include Following Jesus, Heart Resurgence, or other Hope classes / ministry involvement  (i.e. Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Hope Institute classes). As a youth ministry and a church, we believe firmly in the power of prayer. Apart from the miraculous moving of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and lives of students, all of our best efforts will be in vain. We want to come alongside parents and families to pray for students, to pray with parents for their students and to foster a community of families in our church who regularly seek the Lord together in prayer for our students. Psalm 116 says, "I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live." Mamas & Minis offers moms a place to meet and connect with other moms outside of the weekend. It is a great resource for moms who are new to Hope Oakville or moms who are looking for community. We are so blessed to have a facility that allows play and fun for the kids and great space for moms to chat and get to know one another. We have a new program for Play Day which includes free play, song & story time and an opportunity for moms to chat and pray with one another. Bring the kiddies, some of your own nut-free snacks, and enjoy some coffee and fellowship together. An Outplacement Workshop for participants who are struggling to find work or meaningful employment will have three (3) key supports: 1. Job Search Strategies Provides practical Skills and Strategies that will equip people to be more effective in Job Search.  Topics will include: Resume Writing, Interviewing skills and Networking 2. Before you jump in, we want you to have clarity on who we are as a church. This two-week class takes a deeper look into what we believe as a Christian community and seeks to equip you to live out the Christian life here at Hope Oakville.

(formerly "Bible Doctrine") Systematic theology is at the center of the church’s knowledge of God and His redemptive work in Christ. As such, it is of crucial importance that believers take theology seriously. This course is custom-designed as an introduction to the foundational topics of the Christian faith. Students will be exposed to theological teachings, such as the nature of God and His word, the concept of sin, faith, and salvation, the necessity of the atonement, the function of the church, and the varying views on the end times.  Objectives: By the end of the nine-week course, participants will be able to: Articulate and provide a biblical defence of key theological topics of the Christian faithUnderstand the existential intersection between worship and truth Apply key concepts to a life of personal devotion and discipleshipCorrect misconceptions and misunderstandings related to theological topicsThis class will be offered in a hybrid version of in-person and online learning, with access to resources, weekly quizzes and a final exam. Grief Share is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. The group is led by people who understand what you are experiencing and who want to offer comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. The program includes a video seminar, followed by a group discussion. The registration fee for the course is $35 and includes the GriefShare workbook, a great asset for note-taking, journaling, and grief study. This course runs for 13 weeks.

Mamas & Minis offers moms a place to meet and connect with other moms outside of the weekend. It is a great resource for moms who are new to Hope Oakville or moms who are looking for community. We are so blessed to have a facility that allows play and fun for the kids and great space for moms to chat and get to know one another. We have a new program for Play Day which includes free play, song & story time and an opportunity for moms to chat and pray with one another. Bring the kiddies, some of your own nut-free snacks, and enjoy some coffee and fellowship together. Grief Share is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. The group is led by people who understand what you are experiencing and who want to offer comfort and encouragement during this difficult time. The program includes a video seminar, followed by a group discussion. The registration fee for the course is $35 and includes the GriefShare workbook, a great asset for note-taking, journaling, and grief study. This course runs for 13 weeks.

In this course, participants will be exposed to the Bible’s presentation of sin, God, humanity, the atonement, and how all these come together to form a coherent picture of the Trinitarian undertaking of redeeming sinners. Each session blends short teaching, case work, guided practice, and peer feedback, culminating in a practical engagement plan you can apply. Learning Objectives By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Explain key cultural dynamics (hospitality; honor/shame) that shape communication in Muslim contexts.  Summarize core Islamic beliefs and practices, including major holy days, and compare them thoughtfully with biblical teaching.  Share a clear, context-sensitive personal testimony and gospel story without debating.  Design a simple, relational engagement plan (hospitality, prayer, next steps) for a Muslim friend or neighbor.  Identify pastoral next steps for seekers/new believers (community, discipleship, and care under pressure).Prerequisites: None

In this course, we will study what the Bible is. We know we have some Hope Family members who love playing sports. We want to invite you to Hope Sports, every Sunday night here at the church. The night begins at 7:30 PM, and we will play either volleyball or soccer. There is no cost, all you have to do is show up and be age 14 or up! Men's Group Life exists to bring men of all walks and ages together weekly, for collective devotional time and prayer, followed by small group time. In these leader-facilitated small groups, men will engage in intentional study the Word of God, Bible based prayer together, and engage in fellowship for accountability and sanctification. Please note that you must register to join a men's group.

The Practical Theology 8 week classes are based on a curriculum prayerfully and collaboratively developed in-house by our Hope Soul Care team over the past several years. In this class you will experience live teaching and participate in breakout groups that will help us explore how God's word can be powerfully applied in our daily experience of suffering, in our daily battle against sin, and in our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 1 focuses specifically on suffering, sin and repentance and our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 2 builds on the foundation laid in PT 1 and looks at what it looks like to walk in the Lord in faith as we pursue humility, contentment, peace, love, joy, gratitude and hope. The required prerequisites for Practical Theology 1 include Following Jesus, Heart Resurgence, or other Hope classes / ministry involvement  (i.e. Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Hope Institute classes). As a youth ministry and a church, we believe firmly in the power of prayer. Apart from the miraculous moving of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and lives of students, all of our best efforts will be in vain. We want to come alongside parents and families to pray for students, to pray with parents for their students and to foster a community of families in our church who regularly seek the Lord together in prayer for our students. Psalm 116 says, "I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live." What is Family Night? Hey Hope Families, we are excited to offer a new initiative we are calling - Hope Kids Family Nights!  Family Nights is designed for parents and their children in grades SK to 5.   Our aim is to come alongside families, equipping them to train up their child in the way they should go so that they will not depart from the Christian faith (Proverbs 22:6).  Our hope is to bring families together by exploring fundamental Gospel truths through the use of a catechism to encourage open discussion surrounding God, rooting His truths in our hearts, and growing a deeper relationship with Jesus.  Psalm 78:7 - setting hope in God; know and obey His commands. Both parents and their child are required to register to attend. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
