We are very excited to partner again this year with Operation Christmas Child to pack shoeboxes and get the good news of Jesus Christ to kids around the world. In 2018 we packed 2,682 shoeboxes and this year we are aiming to break the 3,000 mark!
There are three unique ways you can get involved with Operation Christmas Child right here at our church:
PACK A SHOEBOX
Pick up a shoebox in our church foyer (starting October 20), stuff it full of fun items along with a cheque for $10. This $10 helps to cover the cost of shipping, as well as to provide training and equipping for the receiving local groups which ultimately multiplies the gospel opportunities. Please drop it back to the church November 24. HERE are some great tips on how to pack a box. Better yet, pack two boxes…
Drop off supplies to the Church between October 20 – November 6 for our Community Packing Party on November 9. Supplies can be placed in a designated carton in the foyer.
Supplies needed are:
Toys and Other Gifts – stuffed animals, small musical instruments, hair clips, toy jewellery, t-shirts, and socks
Hygiene Items – facecloths, toothbrushes, combs, and soap. Please place soap in a sealable bag.
School Supplies – pens, pencils, pencil crayons, notepads, and picture books
No liquids or candy please.
Fold Shoe Boxes or Receive Filled Boxes (multiple dates)
Help fold shoe boxes in preparation for Operation Christmas Child, we need as many people as possible on October 17 and November 7 from 12-1:30pm. Or you can help receive boxes from churches and organizations in the community during National Collection Week. We need two volunteers for each shift below.
November 20 FULL
November 20 4PM – 6PM
November 21 FULL
November 22 9AM – 11AM and 11AM – 1PM

Prepare for Packing Party
Thanks church – we now have enough people to serve with Packing Party prep!
SIGN UP FOR THE PACKING PARTY
Join us on Saturday, November 9 at 10am in the church foyer as we pack tons of boxes together. This a 100% family friendly event and a great opportunity to invite your neighbours and friends to come pack shoeboxes with us and to learn how lives are being changed.
SERVE YEAR ROUND
Hundreds of volunteers are serving year-round in their local communities to reach hurting children through Operation Christmas Child each year. They are mobilizing churches, community groups, prayer support and media coverage in order to engage participation in giving shoeboxes through Operation Christmas Child. We are looking to expand our Connect Team in Oakville and would love your support. If you are interested in volunteering with Operation Christmas Child please contact Joel Bradley at email@example.com
