There is HOPE for you, His name is JESUS

Sunday Services at 8:30AM, 10:30AM & 12:30PM
New to Hope?

You won't feel new for long!

At Hope Bible Church, we are dedicated to glorifying God through the fulfilment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). This means we strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ, and walk with them as they become more like Him. What does that actually look like? What can you expect on Sunday? We’d love to share more about our church with you.

Compassion Partner Event

Compassion Partner Event

Sunday, January 12, 9AM - 2PM
Join us after church services for our Compassion Ministry Partner Event, an opportunity to learn about various ministries that embody 1 John 3:18: “let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” This event will showcase organizations committed to sharing God’s love through practical support and the transformative power of the Gospel. Representatives from each ministry will be available to discuss their mission, ways they impact our local and global communities, and how you can get involved. Whether you are interested in supporting vulnerable populations or providing practical help to those in need, this event offers numerous ways to serve. Participating MinistriesGalcom International: Utilizing durable radio technology, Galcom helps deliver the message of hope to communities that may otherwise remain unreached. Hope ESL: This program offers a welcoming environment where attendees can develop English language skills in the context of God’s love. Helping International Students: Seeks to provide international students with local networks to support programs, resources, and community relationships that help them thrive practically, socially, and spiritually. Teen Challenge & Prison Fellowship: These ministries work to support individuals recovering from substance abuse and those affected by incarceration, respectively. They focus on offering hope and healing, reconciliation with family, and guidance toward a restored life through faith. Pregnancy Care Canada & Atwell Centre: These organizations provide compassionate support for individuals facing unexpected pregnancies. They offer comprehensive resources and guidance, empowering individuals with options, practical assistance, and emotional support rooted in Christ’s love. Oasis Youth Care & Safe Families: Serving vulnerable youth and families, these ministries create safe spaces and provide essential services for those who are at risk or have unmet needs. They help prevent homelessness and provide stability, support, and a sense of community for families in crisis. Compassion Canada & Samaritan’s Purse: These global outreach ministries focus on relieving poverty and crisis. Compassion Canada works to end poverty among children, while Samaritan’s Purse provides disaster relief and assistance to those affected by war, natural disasters, disease, and famine, bringing both physical aid and the hope of the Gospel. Kerr Street Mission, Philpott Church, Deacons Ministry & The Market: These local organizations focus on meeting tangible needs within our community, from food and clothing to financial aid and home maintenance. Kerr Street Mission (Oakville), Philpott Church (Hamilton), The Market, and the Deacons Ministry at Hope work collaboratively to serve those who face financial and physical hardships, sharing God’s love through practical help.

Practical Theology 1

Practical Theology 1

Monday, January 20, 7PM - 9PM
Practical Theology 1, an eight-week class, will run from January 20 to , March 24 2025.  The Practical Theology classes are based on a curriculum prayerfully and collaboratively developed in-house by our Hope Soul Care team over the past several years. In this class you will experience live teaching and participate in breakout groups, that will help us explore how God's word can be powerfully applied in our daily experience of suffering, in our daily battle against sin, and in our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 1 focuses specifically on suffering, sin and repentance and our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 2 builds on the foundation laid in Practical Theology 1 and looks at what it looks like to walk in the Lord in faith as we pursue humility, contentment, peace, love, joy, gratitude and hope. The required prerequisites for Practical Theology 1 include Following Jesus, Heart Resurgence, or other Hope classes / ministry involvement  (i.e. Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Hope Institute classes). Please email SoulCareClasses@HopeOakville.ca for more information or if you are unclear about prerequisites. The printed curriculum is $50. You will receive the material on the first night of class. This book contains the content for both Practical Theology 1 and Practical Theology 2, so no additional purchases are required after this initial payment. (*Please note that Practical Theology 2, also an eight-week class, will be offered in the Spring of 2025).
