A workshop-style, adult-learning course that equips Christians to understand Islam’s culture, beliefs and practices, key cultural dynamics in Muslim-majority contexts, and thoughtful points of comparison with biblical theology. Each session blends short teaching, case work, guided practice, and peer feedback, culminating in a practical engagement plan you can apply. Learning Objectives By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Explain key cultural dynamics (hospitality; honor/shame) that shape communication in Muslim contexts.  Summarize core Islamic beliefs and practices, including major holy days, and compare them thoughtfully with biblical teaching.  Share a clear, context-sensitive personal testimony and gospel story without debating.  Design a simple, relational engagement plan (hospitality, prayer, next steps) for a Muslim friend or neighbor.  Identify pastoral next steps for seekers/new believers (community, discipleship, and care under pressure).Prerequisites: None

Course Description: We know that the Bible is the greatest-selling book of all time. In addition to this, the Bible has served as the cornerstone of Western civilization, and its precepts have had long-lasting effects for hundreds of generations. In this course, we will study what the Bible is. We will aim to address basic questions about the origin and history of the Bible, the divine qualities of the Bible, the content of the Bible, and the purpose of the Bible. We know we have some Hope Family members who love playing sports. We want to invite you to Hope Sports, every Sunday night here at the church. The night begins at 7:30 PM, and we will play either volleyball or soccer. There is no cost, all you have to do is show up and be age 14 or up! Men's Group Life exists to bring men of all walks and ages together weekly, for collective devotional time and prayer, followed by small group time. In these leader-facilitated small groups, men will engage in intentional study the Word of God, Bible based prayer together, and engage in fellowship for accountability and sanctification. Please note that you must register to join a men's group.

The Practical Theology 8 week classes are based on a curriculum prayerfully and collaboratively developed in-house by our Hope Soul Care team over the past several years. In this class you will experience live teaching and participate in breakout groups that will help us explore how God's word can be powerfully applied in our daily experience of suffering, in our daily battle against sin, and in our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 1 focuses specifically on suffering, sin and repentance and our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 2 builds on the foundation laid in PT 1 and looks at what it looks like to walk in the Lord in faith as we pursue humility, contentment, peace, love, joy, gratitude and hope. The required prerequisites for Practical Theology 1 include Following Jesus, Heart Resurgence, or other Hope classes / ministry involvement  (i.e. Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Hope Institute classes). The printed curriculum is $50. The book contains the content for both Practical Theology 1 and 2, so no additional purchases are required as you will have purchased the book for Practical Theology 1. Grade 6 - 8 students attend Jr High Ministry. Each evening includes worship, teaching, and small group time. The messages are preached straight out of the Bible and are taught in a way you can understand and apply to your own life. Small groups are divided by gender and grade, here you discuss questions based on the evening's teaching, followed by accountability time and prayer. As a youth ministry and a church, we believe firmly in the power of prayer. Apart from the miraculous moving of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and lives of students, all of our best efforts will be in vain. We want to come alongside parents and families to pray for students, to pray with parents for their students and to foster a community of families in our church who regularly seek the Lord together in prayer for our students. Psalm 116 says, "I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live."
