Jesus, The Good Shepherd I Need!

As we continue in our Wonder Working Power series, we come to one of the most well-known moments in the life of Jesus: the feeding of the 5,000, recorded in all four Gospels. Why did each Gospel writer see this miracle as so important? In Mark 6, we discover that this story is about far more than bread and fish. It reveals Jesus as the Good Shepherd who knows our needs, cares for us, and provides abundantly. In a world that often leaves us spiritually hungry and restless, Jesus invites us to sit in His presence and be satisfied by what only He can give. This passage asks us, are we truly trusting the Good Shepherd to feed and sustain us?
