The Practical Theology 8 week classes are based on a curriculum prayerfully and collaboratively developed in-house by our Hope Soul Care team over the past several years. In this class you will experience live teaching and participate in breakout groups that will help us explore how God's word can be powerfully applied in our daily experience of suffering, in our daily battle against sin, and in our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 1 focuses specifically on suffering, sin and repentance and our daily pursuit of holiness. Practical Theology 2 builds on the foundation laid in PT 1 and looks at what it looks like to walk in the Lord in faith as we pursue humility, contentment, peace, love, joy, gratitude and hope. The required prerequisites for Practical Theology 1 include Following Jesus, Heart Resurgence, or other Hope classes / ministry involvement  (i.e. Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Hope Institute classes). The printed curriculum is $50. The book contains the content for both Practical Theology 1 and 2, so no additional purchases are required as you will have purchased the book for Practical Theology 1. If you require a new book or an additional book the cost will be $50.

At Hope, we take prayer seriously. We know that a church that doesn’t pray together doesn’t stand a chance. That is why we want YOU at our church-wide monthly prayer meeting! These are opportunities to live out what we say we believe about the power of prayer and the importance of fellowship. Let’s call upon the Lord together this Wednesday! Doors will open at 6:30PM. Pastors will be available in the Worship Centre for personal prayer at 6:30PM. The meeting will begin at 7PM.

Grade 6 - 8 students attend Jr High Ministry. Each evening includes worship, teaching, and small group time. The messages are preached straight out of the Bible and are taught in a way you can understand and apply to your own life. Small groups are divided by gender and grade, here you discuss questions based on the evening's teaching, followed by accountability time and prayer. As a youth ministry and a church, we believe firmly in the power of prayer. Apart from the miraculous moving of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and lives of students, all of our best efforts will be in vain. We want to come alongside parents and families to pray for students, to pray with parents for their students and to foster a community of families in our church who regularly seek the Lord together in prayer for our students. Psalm 116 says, "I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live." Registered Seniors' (65+) gather weekly in facilitated small groups, focused on the study of God's Word and care for one another through prayer, service and fellowship.  Join us on Thursdays at 9:30 AM at Hope Bible Church. For more information please reach out to [email protected].

What is Family Night? Hey Hope Families, we are excited to offer a new initiative we are calling - Hope Kids Family Nights!  Family Nights is designed for parents and their children in grades SK to 5.   Our aim is to come alongside families, equipping them to train up their child in the way they should go so that they will not depart from the Christian faith (Proverbs 22:6).  Our hope is to bring families together by exploring fundamental Gospel truths through the use of a catechism to encourage open discussion surrounding God, rooting His truths in our hearts, and growing a deeper relationship with Jesus.  Psalm 78:7 - setting hope in God; know and obey His commands. Both parents and their child are required to register to attend. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Hope Young Adults is a Group Life opportunity for anyone aged 18-25. Young Adults meets twice a month on Thursdays at 7 PM at Hope Bible Church and in homes in the Halton area for small groups.
