Our series in 2 Peter brings us a message of apologetics. Peter shifts to defend against attacks of false teachers. This is every bit as relevant today as it was when it was written. This text is meant to encourage and build up believers by reinforcing what is true. Peter does this through first-hand accounts of the person and majesty of Jesus and the reliability of the Bible. Peter makes two things very clear: the message of Jesus is true and the Bible is absolutely inspired by God.
